Find Freedom From Trauma — Without Reliving It

What Is TRTP?

TRTPĀ® (The Richards Trauma Process) is a structured, three-step process developed by Judith Richards to resolve the emotional charge of trauma — not just manage its symptoms.

Unlike many traditional approaches, TRTP works with the subconscious mind, where trauma is actually stored. It helps shift the nervous system out of fight, flight, or freeze and into a calm, empowered, self-regulated state. As the emotional charge of the past is resolved, the symptoms connected to it — anxiety, hypervigilance, panic, low mood, and more — begin to fade because the root cause has been addressed, not simply managed.

Who TRTP Can Help

TRTP was originally developed to resolve extreme and complex trauma, and it has since helped people work through:

  • PTSD and the lingering effects of significant trauma
  • Anxiety and panic attacks
  • Depression
  • Fears and phobias
  • Self-sabotaging patterns and unhelpful core beliefs
  • The effects of domestic abuse
  • Grief, chronic stress, and other trauma-related struggles

If you've experienced something distressing that still affects your daily life — your relationships, your work, your sense of safety — TRTP may be able to help you move forward.

You Don't Have to Relive Your Story

One of the things that sets TRTP apart is this: you do not need to describe your trauma in detail to heal from it.

Many approaches to trauma require you to talk through what happened, sometimes repeatedly, in order to process it. TRTP was intentionally designed to work differently. Because it works with where trauma is actually held — the subconscious mind and the body — you don't need to retell or relive the details of what happened to you.

This means the process itself won't re-traumatize you. You are guided through the work in a way that is safe, supported, and does not require you to walk back through the pain of your experience just to be free of it.

A Fast, Structured Process

TRTP is known for being remarkably efficient:

  • 1 introductory session to understand your goals and prepare you for the process
  • 2–3 core TRTP sessions, where the actual resolution work takes place

For most people, this means the entire process — from your first conversation to lasting change — can be completed within about a month.

Clients often describe results that last well beyond the sessions themselves, with many reporting continued wellness a year or more later.

Trained Directly by Judith Richards

I trained in TRTP directly with Judith Richards, the creator of this program. This means the way I practice TRTP comes straight from the source — not a secondhand interpretation of her work. You're getting the process as she designed and teaches it herself.
